52nd Sitting of the Foreign Affairs Committee

At the sitting held on 17 October, the members of the Foreign Affairs Committee adopted two initiatives for visits as well as reports on visits realized, and noted the changes to the composition of the PFG with Iran, Kenya, Morocco, the US, Slovenia, Israel and the UK.

Committee Chairman Prof. Dr Zarko Obradovic informed the Committee members about the reasons why the Committee delegation walked out of the Interparliamentary Conference on the EU Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) and the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP), held in Vienna.

The delegations of the Foreign Affairs Committee and the Parliament of the Kingdom of Spain left the gathering because the provisional institutions of Pristina were represented by a flag and the name “Kosovo” without an asterisk, and the organizer, the Parliament of the Republic of Austria, would not honour the two delegations’ request that the provisional institutions be represented in accordance with the Agreement on Regional Representation.

The Committee Chairman told the Committee members that they would also be presented a report on the delegation’s participation in the gathering.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Prof. Dr Zarko Obradovic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Dubravka Filipovski, Jovan Palalic, Vera Jovanovic, Nikola Savic, Ljiljana Malusic, Prof. Dr Ljubisa Stojmirovic, Dusica Stojkovic, Natasa Mihailovic Vacic, Dragan Sormaz and Stefana Miladinovic.
