43rd Sitting of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government

At the sitting held on 23 November, the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government formulated the Proposal of the Decision on the termination of office of President of the Supreme Court of Cassation Dragomir Milojevic due to the expiry of his term of office.

The Committee ruled to forward the Decision Proposal to the National Assembly with the proposal that it be considered by urgent procedure in line with Article 167 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure to be able to launch the proceedings for the election of new President of the Supreme Court of Cassation as soon as possible and enable the unimpeded operation of the Court.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Petar Petrovic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Doc. Dr Mihailo Jokic, Dr Aleksandar Martinovic, Aleksandra Majkic, Miletic Mihajlovic, Srbislav Filipovic, Djordje Komlenski, Zarko Micin, Dragan Veljkovic and Marko Parezanovic.
