41st Sitting of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government

At the sitting held on 29 October, the members of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government considered a number of documents on the agenda of the Third Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2018, in principle.

The Committee members accepted the proposal to conduct a joint debate on the Bill amending the Law on Organization of Courts, Bill amending the Civil Procedure Law, Bill on Personal Data Protection, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Execution of Non-Custodial Sanctions and Measures, Bill on Free Legal Aid, Bill on Lobbying and the Bill amending the Law Verification of Signatures, Manuscripts and Transcripts, submitted by the Government, on two decision proposals on the election of judges to judicial office for the first time, submitted by the High Judicial Council, as well as two decision proposals on the election of Deputy Public Prosecutor submitted by the State Prosecutorial Council.

The Committee ruled to propose that the National Assembly accept all the documents as submitted by the Government, High Judicial Council and the State Prosecutorial Council.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Petar Petrovic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Slavisa Bulatovic, Doc. Dr Mihailo Jokic, Dr Aleksandar Martinovic, Nedjo Jovanovic, Srbislav Filipovic, Djordje Komlenski, Zarko Micin and Dr Balint Pasztor.
