33rd Sitting of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues

At the sitting held on 1 December, the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues discussed the requests made by the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection and the Republic Commission for the Protection of Rights in Public Procurement Procedures for consent to employ new staff and the request of the Fiscal Council for additional employment of staff.


At the proposal of Committee Chairman Zoran Babic, the Committee members added one more item onto the agenda – channelling funds from the National Assembly Solidarity Fund.

The Committee members discussed the request of the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection for consent to employ new staff at the Support Service of the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection. Explaining the request, Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection Rodoljub Sabic said that he requested the employment of seven new members of staff to fill executive posts.

Following a short debate, the Committee members granted consent to employ new staff at the Support Service of the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection, by majority vote.

The Committee also deliberated on the Fiscal Council’s request for additional employment of staff at the Fiscal Council’s Support Services, elaborated by Fiscal Council member Vladimir Vuckovic. The Committee members granted consent to the additional employment of four members of staff at the Fiscal Council’s Support Services under temporary and occasional service contracts.

The Committee members also granted consent to the request of the Republic Commission for the Protection of Rights in Public Procurement Procedures for consent to employ three new members of staff at the Commission’s Support Service. The request was elaborated by the Deputy Chairman of the Republic Commission for the Protection of Rights in Public Procurement Procedures Ristivoje Djokic.

The Committee members went on to unanimously accept the proposal of Committee Chairman Zoran Babic, to channel funds from the National Assembly Solidarity Fund into the Budget Fund for the treatment of illnesses, conditions and injuries that cannot be successfully treated in the Republic of Serbia, founded by the Government of the Republic of Serbia. Babic said that, at the moment, the National Assembly Solidarity Fund has 298,796RSD at its disposal, secured from the fines paid by MPs for reprimands pronounced at National Assembly sessions.

The sitting was chaired by Zoran Babic, Committee Chairman.
