At today’s session, the Legislative Committee did not accept the proposal submitted by deputy Rajko Baralic to issue an authorised interpretation of Article 101, Paragraph 2 of the Labour Act.

The Legislative Committee ruled that provisions of the Privatisation Act and the Act Amending and Modifying the Privatisation Act contested before the Constitutional Court were in accord with the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia.

The Constitutional Court had also requested the Committee’s opinion regarding a request to assess the constitutionality of the provisions of Article 43 of the Act on the Election of Deputies, submitted by the Yugoslav Workers’ Party. The Committee did not accept the request.

The Legislative Committee set the timeframe for responding to requests of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Serbia in cases where it is necessary to assess the constitutionality and legality of legislation.
