27th Sitting of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government
At the sitting held on 17 December, the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government deliberated on the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Enforcement and Security, submitted by a group of 131 MPs, in detail.
The Committee and the representative of the submitters, Biljana Pantic Pilja, accepted none of the six amendments the MPs had submitted to the Bill.
The Committee then proceeded to discuss the Proposal of the Decision on the election of judges to judicial office for the first time, submitted by the High Judicial Council. The President of the High Judicial Council, Miroljub Tomic provided the introductory remarks.
The Committee decided to propose that the National Assembly accept the Proposal of the Decision on the election of judges to judicial office for the first time, submitted by the High Judicial Council.
The sitting was chaired by Petar Petrovic, Committee Chairman.
