25th Sitting of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government

At the sitting held on 3 April, the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government considered the amendments submitted to four of the bills included in the agenda for the Second Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly in 2013.


Out of the 43 amendments submitted to the Bill on Special Measures for the Prevention of Crimes against Sexual Freedom against Minors, the Committee accepted five, by a majority of votes, which were also accepted by the Government, and also submitted two amendments of its own to article 3 and article 5 of the Bill.
The Committee accepted the nine amendments the MPs had submitted to the Bill on Seizure and Confiscation of Proceeds from Crime, accepted by the Government, and submitted an amendment of its own to article 54 of the Bill.
The Committee did not accept the amendment to article 1 of the Bill amending the Law on Organisation and Jurisdiction of Government Authorities in Suppression of Organised Crime, Corruption and other Severe Criminal Offenses, which was rejected by the Government.
Out of the three amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Criminal Procedure Code, the Committee accepted the one also accepted by the Government.

At the sitting, the Committee noted that the Social Economic Council had nominated Bozo Draskovic for member of the Anti-Corruption Agency Board.

The sitting was chaired by Petar Petrovic, Committee Chairman.
