Minister of Justice and Public Administration Nikola Selakovic briefed the Committee members on the Ministry’s most important activities in the last two quarters of the previous year. Following a discussion, the Committee unanimously concluded that it accepted the information and that it expected the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration to keep the Committee informed, in its upcoming quarterly activity information, on the Ministry’s activities as regards the preparation of acts and the implementation of the programmes and projects within its purview envisaged in the Government’s 2013 Activity Plan.

The Committee also reviewed the Ministry of Regional Development and Local Self-Government activity information for the period July - September and October - December 2012, presented by Assistant Minister Edi Majstorovic. Following a debate, by a majority of votes, the Committee concluded that it accepted the information and that it expected the Ministry of Regional Development and Local Self-Government to keep the Committee informed, in its upcoming quarterly activity information, on the Ministry’s activities as regards the preparation of acts and realisation of the programmes and projects within its purview envisaged in the Government’s 2013 Activity Plan.

The Committee went on to consider the Ombudsman’s 2012 Regular Annual Report, presented by the Ombudsman, Sasa Jankovic. The Committee will vote on the conclusions as regards the report at the next sitting.

At the sitting, the Committee formulated the conclusion proposals as regards the High Judicial Council 2012 Activity Report and the State Prosecutorial Council 2012 Activity Report, reviewed at the Committee’s sitting of 21 March.
