20th Sitting of the Culture and Information Committee

At the sitting held on 24 June 2021, the members of the Culture and Information Committee considered the Ministry of Culture and Information Activity Information for the period February-April 2021.

Before commencing proceedings, Committee Chairperson Sandra Bozic moved to add the following onto the agenda: Establishing the list of candidates and list of organisations for member of the Council of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Media proposed by associations of film, theatre and drama artists and associations of composers in the Republic of Serbia. The Committee members accepted the motion.

The Activity Information was presented by Danijela Vanusic, Minister’s assistant for cultural heritage and digitalisation, Radovan Jokic, Minister’s assistant for contemporary artistic production and creative industries and Slavica Trifunovic, Minister’s assistant for information and media.

The Ministry representatives stressed that in the reporting period the Ministry of Culture and Information performed activities related to the development and improvement of culture and artistic creation, monitoring and research in the field of culture, protection of cultural heritage, public information and law enforcement in the field of public information.

Also, in the reporting period, in addition to its regular activities, the Sector for Contemporary Artistic Production focused on the implementation of competitions for financing and co-financing of projects in the area for 2021.

The Ministry representatives informed the Committee members about the regular programme and normative activities conducted in the abovementioned period. Among the most significant results of the Ministry’s work in the reporting period is a larger budget for 2021, project financing, adoption of the Law on Museum Activities, cultural diplomacy and the formation of interdepartmental working groups.

Following a constructive discussion, the Committee members accepted the Ministry of Culture and Information Activity Information for the period February-April 2021.

Finally, the Committee members unanimously determined the List of candidates and the list of organisations for member of the Council of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Media proposed by associations of film, theatre and drama artists and associations of composers in the Republic of Serbia.

The Association of Film Artists of Serbia had nominated two candidates - Bozidar Zecevic and Stanko Crnobrnja for member of the Council of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Media.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Sandra Bozic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Rozalia Okresz, Prof. Dr Marko Atlagic, Snezana Paunovic, Milica Obradovic, Aleksandar Cotric, MA Jadranka Jovanovic, Milos Terzic, Ljubomir Maric and Justina Pupin Koscal.
