20th Sitting of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues
At the sitting held on 29 July, the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues reviewed the request made by the Energy Agency asking for consent to fully employ a new member of staff and the request made by MP Krstimir Pantic for monthly cost compensation for apartment lease in Belgrade and compensation for living separately from his family.
The Committee members included and discussed two additional items on their agenda: resignation tendered to the post of MP by Miljana Zindovic and termination of duty as National Assembly Speaker’s chief-of-staff of Nebojsa Pesic.
Giving reasons for the full-time employment of one member of staff as expert advisor for administrative and legal affairs, Energy Agency Council member Goran Petkovic said that their employment in fact replaces a staff member whose employment had terminated, thus keeping the number of staff at the Energy Agency the same.
National Assembly Secretary General Jana Ljubicic informed the Committee members that she had been notified by National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic that the need to keep Nebojsa Pesic employed as chief-of-staff is not terminated due to unfulfilled expectations and inability to respond to all of the Speaker Cabinet’s needs.
The Committee members unanimously consented to the Energy Agency’s request to fully employ a new member of staff. The Committee also consented to the request made by MP Krstimir Pantic for monthly cost compensation for apartment lease in Belgrade and compensation for living separately from his family.
The Committee members reviewed the resignation tendered to the post of MP by Miljana Zindovic and proposed that the National Assembly note the termination of the abovementioned MP’s term of office. The Committee also reviewed the reasons for the termination of duty as National Assembly Speaker’s chief-of-staff of Nebojsa Pesic.
The sitting was chaired by Zoran Babic, Committee Chairman.
