At the sitting held on 9 December 2024, the members of the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending interviewed the candidates for the election of President and four members of the National Bank of Serbia Governor’s Council.
Committee Chairman Veroljub Arsic informed the Committee members that the following parliamentary groups had nominated candidates for the election of President and four members of the National Bank of Serbia Governor’s Council: ALEKSANDAR VUCIC – Serbia Must Not Stop Parliamentary Group nominated Dr Ivan Nikolic for President and Prof. Dr Nebojsa Savic, Dr Ana Jovanovic and Bosko Vidakovic for members of the National Bank of Serbia Governor’s Council; IVICA DACIC - Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) Parliamentary Group nominated Dr Nikola Gradojevic for member of Democratic Action of Sandzak (SDA Sandzak) – Party for Democratic Action (PDD) Parliamentary Group nominated Dr Admir Hamzagic for member of the National Bank of Serbia Governor’s Council.
The Committee interviewed the candidates after which it, by majority vote, formulated the Proposal of the Decision on the election of President and four members of the National Bank of Serbia Governor’s Council proposing that the National Assembly elect Dr Ivan Nikolic for President of the National Bank of Serbia Governor’s Council, and Prof. Dr Nebojsa Savic, Dr Ana Jovanovic, Bosko Vidakovic and Dr Nikola Gradojevic for members of the National Bank of Serbia Governor’s Council. By majority vote, the Committee decided to forward the Proposal of the Decision to the National Assembly to be considered under urgent procedure.
The Committee also considered the Report of the Working Group to ascertain the regularity of the procedure for the proposal of candidates for the election of three members of the Council of the Commission for State Aid Control, presented by the head of the Working Group Dr Zivan Bajic. He said that 10 applications had been submitted to the public call in due time, and that nine of the candidates meet the criteria stipulated by the Law on State Aid Control and the rules of the public call: Ljiljana Blagojevic, Stanko Bulajic, Mitar Drobnjakovic, Lucija Dujovic, Gorana Kukrika Jovanovic, Biljana Makevic, Luka Milosevic, Branislav Pejcic and Jasmina Trifunovic. The Working Group rejected the application of candidate Dejan Stankovic as it did not contain all required documentation.
Having considered them, the Committee members accepted the Working Group’s Report and its Conclusion to reject the application of Dejan Stankovic as incomplete.
The Committee then interviewed the nine candidates for the election of three members of the Council of the Commission for State Aid Control after which it ascertained the List of Candidates for the election of three members of the Council of the Commission for State Aid Control, proposing that the National Assembly elect Gorana Kukrika Jovanovic, Biljana Makevic and Luka Milosevic for members of the Council of the Commission for State Aid Control. By majority vote, the Committee decided to forward the Candidate List to the National Assembly to be considered under urgent procedure.
