18th session of the Education Committee

The Education Committee held its eighteenth session on 22 August.The Committee discussed and in principle endorsed the University Bill, submitted to the National Assembly by the Government of the Republicof Serbia.


The Education Committee held its eighteenth session on 22 August.

The Committee discussed and in principle endorsed the University Bill, submitted to the National Assembly by the Government of the Republicof Serbia. The Bill was presented by the Minister of Education and Sports, Slobodan Vuksanovic.

When work resumed (on 23 and 24 August), Committee members discussed the particulars of the Bill. A total of 129 amendments were submitted to the Committee.

The Government of the Republicof Serbiaendorsed 9 amendments formulated by the Committee, as well as 17 amedments proposed by deputies. All these amendments were endorsed by the Committee, as were 25 amendments proposed by the Government, thereby making them integral parts of the Bill.

The Committee noted that the deputies and the Government of the Republicof Serbiahad withdrawn 41 proposed amendments. The remaining amendments were not endorsed by the Committee.
