17th session of the Gender Equality Committee
At its seventeenth session, held on 11 July, the Gender Equality Committee discussed problems of employees of Sevojno-based IPOL SEVAL Aluminium Sheet Rolling Mill Joint Stock Company.
At its seventeenth session, held on 11 July, the Gender Equality Committee discussed problems of employees of Sevojno-based IPOL SEVAL Aluminium Sheet Rolling Mill Joint Stock Company.
The Committee unanimously resolved to request the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Policy, to re-assess, bearing in mind Article 18 of the Labour Act prohibiting discrimination, the findings of the Labour Inspectorate on the legality of the implementation of the social programme at the company, establish any liability of the inspector in charge, and report back to the Committee within 7 days.
The Committee resolved to recommend that the Privatisation Committee, as the appropriate Committee, to discuss problems of employees at Sevojno-based IPOL SEVAL Aluminium Sheet Rolling Mill Joint Stock Company, and to request the Privatisation Agency to allow union officials access to documents, as well as to control the implementation of the sale contract and the social programme.
