179th Sitting of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues

At the sitting held on 19 February, the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues deliberated on the amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Environmental Protection, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Nature Conservation, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Waste Management and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Livestock, submitted by the Government.


The MPs had submitted 16 amendments to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Environmental Protection, and the Environmental Protection Committee also submitted four amendments of its own. The members of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues found 15 of the MPs’ amendments to be compliant with the Constitution and the legal system of the Republic of Serbia, while one was rejected as incomplete. The Committee found all four of the amendments submitted by the Environmental Protection Committee to be compliant with the Constitution and the legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee members found all 16 of the amendments the MPs had submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Nature Conservation to be compliant with the Constitution and the legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee also found all four of the amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Waste Management to be compliant with the Constitution and the legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

Concerning the 52 amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Livestock, the Committee found them all to be compliant with the Constitution and the legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The sitting was attended by Committee members and deputy members Nenad Nikolic, Zarko Obradovic, Tanja Tomasevic Damnjanovic, Balint Pasztor, Svetislav Vukmirica, Nedjo Jovanovic, Veroljub Arsic and Zivan Djurisic.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Dr Aleksandar Martinovic.
