132nd Sitting of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues

At the sitting held on 29 July, the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues deliberated on the amendments submitted to the Bill on Special Conditions of Sale of Certain Real Estate Owned by the Republic of Serbia, Bill on Payment Transactions of Legal Entities, Entrepreneurs and Physical Entities Not Engaged in Activity, Bill amending and modifying the Public Procurement Law, Bill amending and modifying the Public Debt Law, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Deadlines for Settlement of Pecuniary Liabilities in Commercial Transactions, Bill on Manner of Determining the Maximum Number of Public Sector Employees and the Bill on Register of Persons Employed, Elected, Nominated, Appointed and Hired with Public Funds Beneficiaries, submitted by the Government.


The Committee found all 86 of the amendments submitted to the Bill on Special Conditions of Sale of Certain Real Estate Owned by the Republic of Serbia, compliant with the Constitution and the legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee also found the five amendments submitted to the Bill on Payment Transactions of Legal Entities, Entrepreneurs and Physical Entities Not Engaged in Activity, 223 amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Public Procurement Law, four amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Public Debt Law and the five amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Deadlines for Settlement of Pecuniary Liabilities in Commercial Transactions, compliant with the Constitution and the legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee went on to find that out of the 30 amendments the MPs had submitted to the Bill on Manner of Determining the Maximum Number of Public Sector Employees, only the amendment to Article 32 submitted by the Boris Tadic – Social Democratic Party, Together for Serbia, Greens of Serbia Parliamentary Group does not comply with the Constitution and the legal system of the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee also found that out of the 10 amendments the MPs had submitted to the Bill on Register of Persons Employed, Elected, Nominated, Appointed and Hired with Public Funds Beneficiaries, only the amendment to Article 15 submitted by MP Dejan Radenkovic does not comply with the Constitution and the legal system of the Republic of Serbia.
