Delegation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean was established as a result of a series of conferences on the security and cooperation in the Mediterranean, within the organization of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in 1991, when the first conference was organized on this topic. The goal of the process was to develop comprehensive regional policy, cultural dialogue, partnership, and balanced growth - by encouraging the inclusion of all the countries of the region – at the inter-parliamentary and inter-governmental levels. The process of cooperation that grew into a Parliamentary Assembly contributed to the reduction of tensions in the region and improved cooperation.

The plenary session is convened once a year. Three permanent committees also meet once a year.

Our country has been a full member since the organization was founded in 2006.

The composition of the delegation can be downloaded from the appropriate Internet page.
