National Assembly Speaker Meets with Danish Ambassador

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, met today with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark, Pernille Dahler Kardel.

Speaker Brnabic stressed how very happy she was to have this important meeting, given that Denmark has taken over the presidency of the Council of the European Union in July, under the motto "A strong Europe in a changing world", and said that she appreciates Denmark’s support in our country’s European integration process and expects it to continue during the presidency.

She said that Denmark is one of Serbia’s most important Scandinavian partners, however there is room to strengthen cooperation and dialogue at all levels, adding that she will be absolutely committed to improving parliamentary cooperation.

Ambassador Dahler Kardel said that Serbia should continue on the path of implementing reform processes, in order to timely seize the momentum of potential European Union enlargement, which would benefit Serbia and its citizens.

The officials agreed that they share a common goal and that it is necessary to further strengthen dialogue and trust, because this is precisely what will ensure concrete results on Serbia's European path.
