Gojkovic Opens Gathering on “Combating Violence Against Older Women”
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic opened the gathering on “Combating violence against older women” on occasion of the World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, stressing that the Serbian Assembly has recognized the importance of the topic and wants to raise general awareness on the violence and neglect the elderly, as an especially vulnerable category, are faced with.

Gojkovic Opens Public Debate on Children’s Rights and Ombudsman Draft Law
Opening the public debate on the Draft Law on Children’s Rights and Children’s Ombudsman in the Serbian Assembly, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and Chairperson of the Committee on the Rights of the Child Maja Gojkovic said that Serbia is on the way to get an independent institution for the protection of children’s rights and round up the concept of children’s rights.

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic and the Speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin visited Russian national and member of UNMIK Mikhail Krasnoshchekov, injured in the action of NJSO special forces in the north of Kosovo-Metohija and transferred to the Military Medical Academy from Kosovska Mitrovica Clinical Hospital Centre for further treatment.
