Russian State Duma Speaker to Visit Serbia on Monday, 3 June

A delegation of the State Duma of the Russian Federation headed by State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin will be visiting Serbia on Monday, 3 June, to attend the fourth session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia - Russian State Duma Cooperation Commission.


Voloding will address the National Assembly at a special sitting convened by Serbian National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic and the speakers of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and the Russian State Duma will also have a meeting and lay wreaths at the Monument to the Liberators of Belgrade.

Gojkovic and Volodin will then open and chair the fourth session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia - Russian State Duma Cooperation Commission which is a continuation of the dialogue launched by the establishment of the Commission in December 2015 in Moscow.

The topics of the session are Serbia-Russia interparliamentary cooperation within bilateral and multilateral formats, opposing modern challenges and threats, finding ways to create a new security system, fighting for the fundamental principles of international law including resolving the Kosovo issue. The Commission will also consider the cooperation between Serbia and Russia in the field of energy, and cultural, scientific and youth exchange.
