In the continuation of the sitting, the National Assembly conducted the debate in principle on the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Local Elections.

In the course of the sitting the National Assembly received the resignations tendered to the post of MP by Marija Vojinovic, Slavica Skrbic, Nikola Selakovic, Milos Vucevic, Predrag Bandic and Nastasja Bakovic, and pursuant to articles 132 and 133 of the Law on Election of MPs, at the proposal of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues, noted the termination of the term of office of MP Marija Vojinovic, Slavica Skrbic, Nikola Selakovic, Milos Vucevic, Predrag Bandic and Nastasja Bakovic before the expiry of the term they were elected for on the day they tendered their resignations. The vacant seats in the National Assembly will be filled in line with the Law on Election of MPs.

The National Assembly completed the debate in principle on the only item on the agenda, and in line with Article 157, item 7 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure immediately after the completion of the debate in principle, commenced the debate on the particulars.

Following the completion of the debate on the particulars on the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Local Elections, pursuant to Article 87 item 5 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure, National Assembly Speaker Ana Brnabic set Tuesday, 23 April 2024, as Voting Day on the only item on the agenda of the First Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2024, starting at 10 am.
