Vujadinovic at Conference on Protection of Property Rights of Serbs in Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina: Serbia Will Help Protect property of Serbs in Federation

The Chairman the Committee on the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Milimir Vujadinovic said that the Republic of Serbia will help the Serbian people in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to protect their endangered property.

Committee Chairman Milimir Vujadinovic is taking part in the two-day Conference on the Protection of Property Rights of Serbs in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, held in Trebinje and organised by the Republic Administration for Geodetic and Property Affairs of the Republic of Srpska.

Vujadinovic said that Serbs are faced with similar problem everywhere in the region where they do not have their own political institutions. "Only where they have a clearly organised state and entity government do Serbs have no problems. Serbs and the Serbian Orthodox Church face numerous problems where they do not have their own institutions", Vujadinovic said.

He congratulated the institutions of the Republic of Srpska for tackling the problem of the property of Serbs in the Federation - property of about 500,000 people.

"As far as the Republic of Serbia and its institutions are concerned, we will be at your disposal. The majority of migrations from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina moved toward to the Republic of Serbia. As for the Republic of Serbia and its institutions, the legislative and executive authorities, following the policy of Aleksandar Vucic and the Government of the Republic of Serbia, we will contribute as much as we can, of course respecting the constitutions and laws of the countries where the Serbian people live", said Vujadinovic.

Vujadinovic emphasised the importance of the Serbian Orthodox Church in protecting the property of Serbs, stating that the Church is the most important institution and a pillar for the preservation of property and identity where Serbs do not have their own institutions.

The Conference was also attended by Radoslav Vujovic, Assistant Secretary General of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Head of the Legislation Sector, Dusko Cutilo, Director of the Fund for Refugees, Displaced Persons and Cooperation with Serbs in the Region of AP Vojvodina, Nikolina Milatovic Popovic, Assistant Director of the Office for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region, and Vladimir Cucic, Commissioner of the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia.
