Video Meeting of Head of PFG with DPR Korea Djordje Komlenski and Ambassador of the DPR Korea

To mark of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with the DPR Korea Djordje Komlenski held a meeting via video link with H.E. Ambassador Plenipotentiary of the DPR of Korea on a non-residential basis, Ri Pyong Du.

PFG Head Djordje Komlenski and the Ambassador of the DPR of Korea exchanged sincere and hearty congratulations in the name of the good and long-standing diplomatic relations. They was emphasised that congratulations had previously been exchanged between President Aleksandar Vucic and Kim Jong Un.

Djordje Komlenski stressed that the Republic of Serbia is grateful to the DPR of Korea for its principled stance of non-recognition of the independence of so-called Kosovo. He expressed the wish that our two countries cooperate more closely on the economic and cultural level, as well as through student exchange. He wanted the members of the PFG to meet with the Ambassador of the DPR of Korea and for the members of the Korean parliament’s friendship group to visit Serbia.

The Ambassador of the DPR of Korea once again reiterated the DPR Korea’s principled stance of non-recognition of so-called Kosovo. He pointed out that they are satisfied with the economic progress of their country and that they are working towards further progress.

The Head of the PFG with the DPR Korea Djordje Komlenski and H.E. the Ambassador of the DPR of Korea Ri Pyong Du expressed the desire for the parliamentary relations to continue to develop.
