At the sitting held on 15 October, the Legislative Committee discussed and determined as legally possible the amendment with the modification submitted by Members of Parliament Laslo Varga and Balint Pastor to the Article 5 of the Bill on the Seal of State and Other Organs.

The Amendment specifies that in case when, in accordance with the Bill, the text of the seal is also written in the language and script of national minorities, the seat of the organ, the administrative organ within the ministry or organisational unit of the organ be written according to the traditional orthography. In that case the names of towns, municipalities and settlements that are traditionally used in the language of the national minority in the units of local self-government, will be determined by the national council of the national minority in question no longer than three months after the Bill comes into force. As far as the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina is concerned, it is specified that the names determined in accordance with the decision of the Autonomous Province will become traditional names in the languages of national minorities of the seat of the organ as the Bill comes into force.
