28th Sitting of the Culture and Information Committee
At the sitting held on 19 January 2026, the members of the Culture and Information Committee considered repealing the Decision to launch proceedings for the nomination for the election of candidates for members of the Council of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Media of 29 December 2025.
Culture and Information Committee Chairperson Nevena Djuric said that within the deadline set for the submission of candidacies, by 18 January no application for the election of candidates for members of the Council of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Media had been received.
The Decision to launch proceedings for the nomination of candidates was passed just before the New Year’s and Christmas holidays, on 29 December 2025 when the timely information and collection of documentation of interested nominators was hindered due to a larger number of days off, the Committee Chairperson said, and proposed that the Decision be repealed and that a new procedure be conducted in the upcoming period, one providing optimal conditions for the candidacy of all interested parties.
Following a discussion, the Committee decided to repeal the Decision to launch proceedings for the nomination for the election of candidates for members of the Council of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Media of 29 December 2025.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Nevena Djuric and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Vladimir Pajic, Radomir Lazovic, MA Ljubica Vranes, Sanja Jefic Brankovic, Dr Jovana Janic, Lepomir Ivkovic, Nebojsa Bakarec, Dusan Maric, Prof. Dr Marko Atlagic, Natasa Jovanovic, Dunja Simonovic Bratic, Mgr Akos Ujhelyi and Ivana Rokvic.
