On 6 November, the Youth and Sports Committee held its third sitting. The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairman, Milan Vuckovic, and attended by Snezana Samardzic-Markovic, Minister of Youth and Sports and associates.

Minister Samardzic-Markovic presented the Ministry of Youth and Sports work and activity plan for the rest of 2008, which includes the adoption of the Proposal of the Action Plan for implementing a National Youth Strategy, further encouragement of the development of youth policies and the work of youth offices at the local level. Samardzic-Markovic asked the Committee members to support a speedy adoption of the Bill on the Confirmation of the International Convention Against Doping in Sports currently in Assembly procedure, which the Committee endorsed.

The Committee members went on to express their opinions, proposals and suggestions concerning the Ministry’s work plan.
