Third Sitting of the Committee on Interethnic Relations
The Committee on Interethnic Relations held its third sitting on 21 September. The sitting was chaired by Ana Tomanova-Makanova.
The Committee on Interethnic Relations held its third sitting on 21 September. The sitting was chaired by Ana Tomanova-Makanova. Besides the members of the Committee the sitting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Culture, Republic Broadcasting Agency and Roma radio station, “Voice of Roma”.
The Proposal of the Decision of forming a sub-committee for discussing the issue of the implementation of the Decade of Roma was adopted at the sitting.
There was also a discussion of the initiative for modifying paragraph 95 of the Broadcasting Law which regulates the granting of work permits to the media founded by members of the general public. It was agreed that in cooperation with the appropriate authorities a solution should be found that will enable the ethnic minorities to be informed within the existing regulative.Committees related to this activity
