Sixth Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2021

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic convened the Sixth Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2021, for Thursday, 8 April 2021, starting at 10 am.

Before adopting the agenda, the heads i.e. authorised representatives of the parliamentary groups, MPs Milija Miletic, Shaip Kamberi, Arpad Fremond, Aleksandar Jovanovic, Ugljesa Markovic and Aleksandar Markovic, requested information and explanations in line with article 287 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure.

The National Assembly proceeded to adopt the following one-item agenda:

  1. Proposal of the Decision on the election of President of the Supreme Court of Cassation, submitted by the High Judicial Council.
The National Assembly then commenced a single debate on the only item on the agenda which was presented by the President of the High Judicial Council Dragomir Milojevic as representative of the submitter.

For the remainder of the day the National Assembly conducted and finally concluded the single debate on the only item on the agenda.

As the National Assembly had completed the debate on the Proposal of the Decision on the election of President of the Supreme Court of Cassation, submitted by the High Judicial Council, National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic set Thursday, 8 April 2021, as Voting Day on all the items on the agenda of the Sixth Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2021, starting at 6.20 pm.

Voting Day

On Voting Day, 8 April 2021, the National Assembly adopted the Proposal of the Decision on the election of President of the Supreme Court of Cassation, submitted by the High Judicial Council, electing Jasmina Vasovic to the post.

As the National Assembly had completed the debate the only item on the agenda and ruled on it, National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic concluded the Sixth Sitting of the First Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2021.
