Seventh Sitting of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues

At the sitting held on 23 November 2020, the members of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues interviewed the candidate for Commissioner for Protection of Equality and formulated the Proposal of the Decision on Election of Commissioner for Protection of Equality.

The candidate proposal for the election of Commissioner was submitted to the Committee by the Aleksandar Vucic – For Our Children Parliamentary Group who nominated the erstwhile Commissioner Brankica Jankovic for the position.

The Committee accepted the nomination of Brankica Jankovic as candidate for Commissioner for Protection of Equality and ruled that the Proposal of the Decision on Election of Commissioner for Protection of Equality be urgently forwarded to the National Assembly.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Jelena Zaric Kovacevic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Nevena Veinovic, Zeljko Tomic, Olja Petrovic, Vuk Mircetic, Luka Kebara, Ugljesa Mrdic, Djuro Peric, Dubravka Kralj, Toma Fila, Arpad Fremond, Ilija Matejic, Milenko Jovanov and Violeta Ocokoljic.
