Second Sitting of the Committee on Transportation and Communications

The Committee on Transportation and Communications held its second sitting on 25 November to discuss the Committee’s Work Programme for the upcoming period.



The Committee on Transportation and Communications held its second sitting on 25 November to discuss the Committee’s Work Programme for the upcoming period.

The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairman, Velimir Ilic.

The Chairman outlined the Work Programme for the upcoming period for the Committee members, stressing that in addition to its legislative activity in the field of rail, road, water, air and postal transportation and telecommunications, the Committee will particularly focus on the issue of budgetary means for large infrastructural projects such as Corridor 10, reconstruction of Serbia ‘s railroads, Belgrade bypass and similar. Special attention will be paid to periodic reports by relevant ministries on the expenditure of budgetary means and realisation of specific projects.

Following a lengthy discussion, the Committee members unanimously accepted the Work Programme for the upcoming period.

The Committee also went on to pass a conclusion to have relevant state institutions investigate the deputies’ claims concerning the business dealings of the management of PC “Nikola Tesla” Airport.
