National Assembly Speaker Talks to Norwegian Prime Minister
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic Dejanovic, visiting the Kingdom of Norway at the invitation of the Parliament Speaker Dag Terje Andersen, met with Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg.
The officials deemed the bilateral relations between
Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg highlighted the importance of the National Assembly’s legislative activity, particularly in the sphere of investment, since this is especially important for the two countries’ development and cooperation both in general business and the field of investment and trade. He stressed that
Djukic Dejanovic thanked the Norwegian Government for granting Serbia more than 200 million EUR in non-refundable assistance in the past eight years which was used to directly finance the Serbian Government’s priority projects, and for its assistance to the Municipality of Gornji Milanovac where the house of Serbo-Norwegian friendship is situated.
The officials declared military cooperation excellent, particularly in the sphere of reform of the Serbian defense sector. They also noted the improvement of the two countries’ police cooperation.
Djukic Dejanovic laid flowers in front of Oslo Cathedral and honoured the victims of the terrorist attack of 22 July of this year.
