The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic attended the 143rd IPU Assembly opening ceremony, in the course of which he had the opportunity to meet with King Felipe VI of Bourbon and Greece.

In the conversation with His Majesty Felipe VI, Ivica Dacic said that no Spanish king had ever visited Serbia and took the opportunity to invite him, as well as the Spanish Prime Minister, to visit.

After last year's break because of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year's IPU Assembly is attended by over 130 delegations, 40 of which at the level of heads of parliament. In the coming days, in addition to speaking at the general debate, the Assembly Speaker will have bilateral meetings with his colleagues on the sidelines of this multilateral gathering.
