The Director of the Archives of Vojvodina Nebojsa Kuzmanovic presented the most important titles – the collection “Ustasha Atrocities”, three tomes of “Victims in Srem”, nine tomes of “Catholicisation of Serbs”, all capital publications of the Archives themselves, as well as other works relating to the suffering of the Serbian people on these territories which the Archives had activitiely promoted and donated to institutions throughout Serbia and Europe. In addition the Library of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia also received the collected works of Milorad Ekmecic, Dejan Medakovic, Miro Vuksanovic, Vasilije Kresitic and over 200 other titles.

The National Assembly Speaker thanked the Archives of Vojvodina Director Kuzmanovic, as well as the “Aleksandar Vucic – Together We Can Do Anything” Parliamentary Group and its Head Milenko Jovanov at whose initiative the ceremony was held. "I would like to thank you on behalf of the National Assembly and on behalf of our Library, a special place for all of us that stores more than 60,000 titles, among them the Sretenje Constitution of 1835, as well as the 1838Constitution of the Principality of Serbia and numerous works from the fields of history, culture, economy, philosophy, politics, legislation. The titles donated by the Archives of Vojvodina will be important not only to the MPs and the National Assembly Support Service, but to scientific workers as well as everyone who uses its fund," said the National Assembly Speaker. He particularly emphasised the importance of the donation in the context of affirming the culture of remembrance and nurturing the collective memory of the innocent Serbian victims. "It is important that the truth about our history be known and that by implementing the policy of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic at all levels we speak openly about it today. In past times, that truth was forbidden, systematically covered up. One of the most significant changes that we have managed to achieve, thanks to the state policy we are implementing, is reflected in the fact that today we speak with reverence about our victims and fight loudly for the right to hear the truth about our people. And we defend and preserve that truth through the materials we collect, films financed by the state, as well as publications, among them the titles that the Archives of Vojvodina donated today to the Library of the National of the Republic of Serbia”, Dr Orlic concluded.
