National Assembly Deputy Speaker Academician Zukorlic Receives European Muslim Forum Delegation

National Assembly Deputy Speaker Academician Muamer Zukorlic met with the delegation of the European Muslim Forum, one of the most important Muslim organisations involved in education and culture.

The Academician conveyed the greetings of National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic to the delegation, and in the course of the meeting, he said, he was convinced that the visit to the National Assembly has been very important for them.

"The European Muslim Forum is counting on cooperation with Serbia, and they are especially fascinated by the fact that the Parliament boasts a significant number of Muslim representatives, that is that Muslims in Serbia have their representatives in the National Assembly through various political organisations and parties. This is an important experience for them, which, as they say, many European countries have not developed in the way and scope as we in the Republic of Serbia have, and they find the phenomenon that a former mufti is now Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly particularly interesting," said Zukorlic.

Academician Zukorlic said that the visit was very successful and interesting and expressed hope that it would open space for a fruitful cooperation, especially in the field of education and culture.
