NARS Speaker Receives Slovenian Ambassador
NARS Speaker Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic received the newly-appointed Slovenian Ambassador to Serbia, H.E. Franc But.
The National Assembly Speaker said she was pleased with the two countries’ economic cooperation. Djukic-Dejanovic emphasised the National Assembly’s activities on the plane of harmonisation of national and European legislation and, regarding it, her expectation that the Restitution Bill should reach the MPs during the summer months.
Slovenian Ambassador Franc But stressed that Slovenia greatly supports Serbia’s gaining candidate status and a date for the beginning of negotiations with the EU, for which the NARS Speaker was grateful. Ambassador But emphasised the importance of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina. He highlighted the significance of further deepening parliamentary cooperation between Serbia and Slovenia, which has already given visible results.
