Member of National Assembly Foreign Affairs Committee Vladimir Djordjevic Receives Chinese Embassy Second Secretary Yang Yang
Member of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee Vladimir Djordjevic met with the Chinese Embassy’s Second Secretary Yang Yang with whom he discussed the possibility of twinning Belgrade and the Chinese city of Weinan.
They agreed that such a city-to-city connection would foster cooperation in sports, trade and medicine, which would be of great benefit to both countries. Yang Yang pointed out that the city of Weinan, the birthplace of Chinese President Xi Jinping, could also offer cooperation in adult education, through programmes to improve culinary skills and learn acupuncture, a method of traditional Chinese medicine.
The secretary announced a visit by businessmen from the city of Weinan to Belgrade in March next year, who would present their products and learn about the market, with the aim of cooperation and investment in Serbia.
Member of the Foreign Affairs Committee Vladimir Djordjevic expressed his readiness for any form of support in achieving future cooperation and his belief that it will certainly be successful, as it relies on the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries.
