Head of PFG with Georgia Has Virtual Meeting Meets with Head of Georgian Parliament’s Friendship Group with Serbia
The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Georgia Dubravka Filipovski had a video meeting with the Head of Georgian Parliament’s Friendship Group with Serbia Tamar Taliashvili.
Stressing that the relations between Serbia and Georgia are friendly and good, the Head of the PFG with Georgia Dubravka Filipovski opined that parliamentary relations have significantly intensified after the two parliaments signed a Cooperation Agreement in 2019, adding that there is room to further relations through cooperation between working bodies and parliamentary friendship groups. Filipovski invited the Georgian Parliament’s Friendship Group with Serbia headed by Tamar Taliashvili to visit Serbia in 2022.
The Head of Georgian Parliament’s Friendship Group with Serbia Tamar Taliashvili emphasised the importance of parliamentary diplomacy, saying that it was important to continue improving cooperation at the level of working bodies and parliamentary friendship groups. Taliashvili also suggested adopting an Action Plan for cooperation between Serbia and Georgia’s parliamentary friendship groups which would contain topics and projects of common interest.
Both sides agreed that Serbia and Georgia could strengthen cooperation in the fields of education, culture, tourism and through the exchange of experiences of European integration.
