Fourteenth Sitting of the Youth and Sports Committee
On 17 November 2009, the Youth and Sports Committee held its fourteenth sitting. The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairman, Milan Vuckovic, and attended by the Assistant Minister of Youth and Sport Vojislav Tabacki and Head of the Sport Department at the Ministry of Youth and Sport Dragan Atanasov and associates, as well as the Director of the Republic Institute of Sport, Jasminko Pozderac.
On 17 November 2009, the Youth and Sports Committee held its fourteenth sitting. The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairman, Milan Vuckovic, and attended by the Assistant Minister of Youth and Sport Vojislav Tabacki and Head of the Sport Department at the Ministry of Youth and Sport Dragan Atanasov and associates, as well as the Director of the Republic Institute of Sport, Jasminko Pozderac.
The Committee members were briefed on the activities, projects and report on expenditures related to the revitalisation of the Republic Institute of Sport.
Kosutnjak Sports Centre is a building constructed more than 40 years ago, which underwent overall adaptation and rehabilitation of the premises for the needs of the 2009 Universiade. The construction work, started in 2008, was finished by the beginning of the Universiade, and as a particular contribution to the improvement of the building’s functionality, the indoor facilities as well as the entrances were adapted to meet the needs of disabled persons. The contract value of the construction work was 268,924,333.45 RSD
After the sitting, the Committee members were taken on a tour of the facilities of the Republic Institute of Sport.
