Fifth Sitting of the Committee on Urban Planning and Construction

At the sitting held on 10 December, the members of the Committee on Urban Planning and Construction considered the Republic of Serbia 2010 Budget Bill – Section 23 – Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning.



At the sitting held on 10 December, the members of the Committee on Urban Planning and Construction considered the Republic of Serbia 2010 Budget Bill – Section 23 – Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Jovan Nesovic.

The Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning Oliver Dulic informed the Committee members on the planned budgetary funds for Section 23 intended for spatial planning. He stressed that funds were secured for the financing of the Republic Spatial Planning Agency, drafting of spatial and zoning plans, as well as the rehabilitation of Kolubara administrative district damaged by earthquake. Minister Dulic emphasised that two billion RSD would be allocated for the realisation of the programme of mass housing construction next year, announcing that apartments would be significantly cheaper. He also announced that the drafting of by-laws that would enable the transformation of military terrain into development land was underway which would contribute to higher mass housing construction in 2010.
