At its fifth sitting, held on 10 March 2026 and closed to the public, the Committee on Kosovo-Metohija considered and adopted the Office for Kosovo-Metohija Activity Report for the period January-December 2025.
The Committee was informed by the competent state authorities about the current security situation in the Autonomous Province of Kosovo-Metohija from the aspect of security threats to the Serbian people, with special emphasis on the latest announcements by the PISG in Pristina that from 15 March they will start implementing discriminatory and unilateral regulations that directly threaten the survival of Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija, as well as vital educational and health institutions in the province.
The Committee was also informed about the progress of the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue mediated by the European Union.
The Committee believes that the current security situation in Kosovo-Metohija is characterized by continuous systematic pressure on Serbs, and that problems can only and exclusively be resolved through dialogue and a compromise solution.
The Committee concluded that the provisional institutions in Pristina are carrying out systematic repressive activities and terror, which is reflected in the lack of respect for basic human rights, especially in terms of property rights and the right to freedom of movement, religious and political rights, as well as the lack of the rule of law, i.e. basic legal protection for Serbs in the province.
The Committee also concluded that the issue of our institutions in Kosovo-Metohija must be resolved through dialogue, within the framework of forming the Community of Serb Municipalities.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson MA Danijela Nikolic, and attended by the following Committee members: Zika Gojkovic, Radovan Tvrdisic, Nebojsa Bakarec, Sonja Ilic, Ivan Antic, Goran Rakic, Dr Dejan Guresic, Stefan Krkobabic, Aleksandar Pavic, Aleksandar Ivanovic and Verica Milanovic. The sitting was also attended by Slobodan Ilic and Djordje Komlenski, MPs who are not members of the Committee.
