European Integration Committee Deputy Chairperson Meets with Czech Ambassador to Serbia
Elvira Kovacs, Deputy Chairperson of the European Integration Committee, met with the Czech Ambassador to Serbia H.E. Ivana Hlavsova to discuss the meeting with the Czech delegation comprising members of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Security and the Committee on EU Affairs of the Czech Senate.
The officials also spoke about Serbia’s negotiating position in the EU accession talks, with Hlavsova stressing that the Czech Republic has fully supported Serbia’s European integration since the very beginning.
They also discussed the structure and manner in which the Committee members are elected, and the Committee Deputy Chairperson said that the election of Chairperson is imminent, adding that she believes the Committee should be headed by an opposition MP.
