Dr Orlic emphasized the commitment of the Republic of Serbia to the goals and ideas promoted by COP 27, expressing his satisfaction at being able to take part in the parliamentary meeting. He stressed that the joint efforts of the President of Egypt Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic had opened a new chapter in the history of relations between the two countries, also confirmed through a significant number of bilateral agreements, among them some on environmental protection. He expressed readiness to intensify cooperation even further, mentioning the expected finalisation of the procedure for the formation of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with the Republic of Egypt in the coming days.

The Speaker of Egyptian House of Representatives pointed out that a lot had been done to strengthen relations between the two countries during El-Sisi's visit to Serbia in July of this year. He expressed his satisfaction with the current intensity of cooperation, grounded in traditional friendship, and encouraged furthering tourist exchange between the two countries. Speaking of COP 27, he said he hoped for concrete results, adding that Egypt has a proactive attitude in the fight against climate change.

"We continue to strengthen cooperation, mutual support and friendship between Serbia and Egypt", was the central message of the meeting between the two parliament speakers.
