Dacic: May Christmas Bring Us Success and Progress, and Fill Every Home with Warmth and Joy

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic congratulated the coming Christmas holidays to the clergy of the Serbian Orthodox Church and all believers celebrating the holiday according to the Julian calendar.

“On behalf of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and my own behalf, allow me to congratulate the most joyous Christian holiday to all the citizens celebrating Christmas according to the Julian calendar, with the wish that the birth of Christ encourage us to uphold the virtues of peace and solidarity and give us the strength to persevere on the path of life’s challenges.

I wish everybody spend the holiday in good health, with their nearest and dearest in love and harmony. May Christmas bring us success and progress, and fill every home with warmth and joy, and always remind us of the lasting values of togetherness, mutual respect and consideration – the core values of our society and state.

Peace on earth, Christ is born!”
