Chinese National People's Congress Chairman in Official Three-Day Visit to Serbia
Zhang Dejiang, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the 12th National People's Congress of the People’s Republic of China, will be in official visit to Serbia 16-18 July, at the invitation of the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic.
To promote friendly relations and parliamentary cooperation within the comprehensive strategic partnership the two countries are developing, the two heads of parliament will sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and the National People's Congress of the People’s Republic of China. Chairman Zhang will also address the MPs on Monday, 17 July, at a Special National Assembly Sitting the Assembly Speaker had convened for the purpose.
In the course of the visit, the two heads of parliament, Gojkovic and Zhang, will meet with Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and visit Smederevo Steel Works and Thermal Power Plant Kostolac B.
