34th Sitting of the Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Committee

At the sitting held on 19 October, the Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Committee considered the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Activity Information for the third quarter of 2018.


Assistant Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Danijela Milosavljevic Ostojic and Assistant Head of the Directorate for Agrarian Payments Bojan Zivkovic presented the Activity Information for the third quarter of 2018, saying that in the reporting period the Government had passed, at the Ministry’s proposal, three regulations and seven legal acts.

The normative activities presented covered the memorandums and agreements signed to advance bilateral cooperation with other countries. The Ministry representatives also spoke about international cooperation and briefed the Committee members on the state-of-play concerning the EU talks and European integration process.

The Ministry representatives spoke about the programme activities realized in the period in question concerning agricultural management and supervision and about the inspection results, stating that 1,236 documents of registry in the Central Register had been issued, as well as 202 requests for additional documentation, while the judiciary bodies had received 117 requests.

In the period July – August 2018, the budget of the Republic of Serbia received 59,335,535.00 RSD for the change of purpose of agricultural land and the Directorate for Agrarian Payments is expected to suspend the payment of 40,803,826.00 RSD for this period due to noted irregularities, said Bojan Zivkovic. He added that 35,037 documents were issued in said period i.e. 5,134,508,827.67 RSD were paid.

Following a debate the Committee members accepted the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Activity Information for the third quarter of 2018 by majority vote.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Marijan Risticevic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Prof. Dr Miladin Sevarlic, Milija Miletic, Marjana Maras, Mladen Lukic, Zvonimir Djokic, Tijana Davidovac, Veroljub Matic and Radovan Jancic.
