At the sitting held on 17 July in Subotica, the Committee on the Economy, Regional Development, Trade, Tourism and Energy adopted the following agenda:

Representative of the Ministry of Economy Dusan Ugrcic briefed the Committee members on the situation in the company Azotara and the process of privatization in Serbia, stating that this year the number of companies in it had dropped by 10. The officials also discussed the procedures and ways in which small and medium-sized enterprises can apply for loans in cooperation with commercial banks and the Development Fund.

Presenting the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Activity Information for the period 1 January – 31 March 2018, State Secretary Miroslav Knezevic briefed the Committee members on the results of the international cooperation resulting in a number of agreements the objective of which is to attract foreign investments. Knezevic focused on the Best of Serbia project co-organized by the Ministry and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and the project of subsidized vacations which was successfully completed by the award of 100,000 vouchers. He said that if 90% of the vouchers are used the Ministry will consider the possibility of continuing the project next year. Knezevic said that the Ministry is working on digitalizing all of its segments to enable easier access to all interested parties.

Following a debate the Committee voted on items 1 to 7 on the agenda.

The Committee sitting outside of the National Assembly seat was held with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) via project “Strengthening the Oversight Role and Transparency of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia”.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Snezana B. Petrovic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Vojislav Vujic, Prof. Dr Aleksandra Tomic, Stanislava Janosevic, Studenka Kovacevic, Milimir Vujadinovic, Zoran Bojanic, Snezana R. Petrovic and Ivana Manojlovic.
