27th Sitting of the Committee on the Economy, Regional Development, Trade, Tourism and Energy

At the sitting held on 25 October 2021, the members of the Committee on the Economy, Regional Development, Trade, Tourism and Energy considered the Bill amending the Republic of Serbia 2021 Budget Law, Section 21 - Ministry of Economy, Section 28 - Ministry of Mining and Energy and Section 32 - Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, submitted by the Government.


The Bill was presented by Ana Vasovic, advisor at the Ministry of Finance, Milan Ljusic, State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy, Jovanka Atanackovic, State Secretary at the Ministry of Mining and Energy, and Zikica Nestorovic, State Secretary at the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications.

Ana Vasovic said that a change was made in the structure and amount of expenditures and a revision of revenues from 2021, which are 9.7% higher than the amounts envisaged by the April budget rebalance.

She pointed out that additional 240 million were allocated to the section concerning the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications for the digitalisation of the tourist offer.

Milan Ljusic spoke of the redistribution of funds for the section concerning the Ministry of Economy saying that in the April rebalance the budget for the Ministry of Economy amounted to 104 billion RSD while the present Bill amending the Republic of Serbia 2021 Budget Law envisages 93.3 billion RSD. Compared to the previous budget, the Ministry of Economy has achieved savings of 7.1 billion RSD which will be returned to the budget of the Republic of Serbia.

Jovanka Atanackovic said that the Ministry of Mining and Energy is guided by a policy that seeks to ensure an increase in energy efficiency through the new Directorate for Energy Efficiency. She said that a budget in the amount of 2 billion RSD has been set aside for next year, which is intended for citizens to replace carpentry to make their homes energy efficient and thus contribute to energy saving.

Zikica Nestorovic added that the Bill amending the Republic of Serbia 2021 Budget Law also secures 50 million RSD as assistance for travel agencies. Subsidies will be awarded to travel agencies on behalf of running costs to provide travel guarantees for this year.

Following a brief discussion, the Committee members proposed that the National Assembly accept the Bill amending the Republic of Serbia 2021 Budget Law, Section 21 - Ministry of Economy, Section 28 - Ministry of Mining and Energy and Section 32 - Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Veroljub Arsic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Zoran Tomic, Vojislav Vujic, Doc. Dr Ilija Zivotic, Snezana Petrovic, Vesna Stambolic, Natasa Ljubisic, Snezana Paunovic, Gojko Palalic, Nenad Krstic, Dr Aleksandra Tomic, Branimir Jovanovic, Adrijana Pupovac and Mladen Boskovic.
