The meeting focused on the four amendments presented to the Economic Caucus members by Nela Kuburovic, Assistant Minister of Justice, in cooperation with the permanent members of the Economic Caucus from the National Alliance for Local Economic Development (NALED) and the International Republican Institute (IRI).

The objective of the new law on enforcement and security, which the National Assembly will be discussing at one of its sessions before the end of the year, is to improve the system of enforcement in Serbia, protect the rights of the parties involved and reduce the potential for misuse.

The Head of the Economic Caucus Prof. Dr Vladimir Marinkovic thanked the participants, adding that the Bill on Enforcement and Security is a best practice example for the path a bill follows from the submitter all the way to Assembly procedure.

Besides the Head of the Economic Caucus Prof. Dr Vladimir Marinkovic, the meeting was also attended by new Economic Caucus members MPs Slobodan Homen and Zarko Micin.
