Committee Chairman MA Dejan Radenkovic reminded the Committee members that on 26 July 2023 the National Assembly passed the Law amending and modifying the Energy Law which is to come into force on 1 November 20923. The Law stipulates that the President and Members of the Republic Commission for Energy Networks are elected and dismissed by the National Assembly at the proposal of the competent Committee for a five-year period. In line with this, the Committee had sent a memo to the parliamentary groups to submit their nominations for President and Members of the Republic Commission for Energy Networks by 14 September 2023 and the “ALEKSANDAR VUCIC – TOGETHER WE CAN DO ANYTHING” Parliamentary Group had submitted a nomination for president and two members, “IVICA DACIC – Socialist Part of Serbia (SPS)” Parliamentary Group had submitted a nomination for two members, “United Serbia – Dragan Markovic Palma” Parliamentary Group and “People’s Movement of Serbia – New Face of Serbia” Parliamentary Group had submitted nominations for one member each.

To authenticate the submitted documentation, Committee Chairman MA Dejan Radenkovic proposed that the Committee, in line with Article 44 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure, set up a Working Group, which the Committee members accepted by majority vote. Committee member Veroljub Arsic was elected Head of the Working Group, with Committee members Tijana Davidovac and Zoran Sandic as members of the Working Group.

The Committee Chairman informed the Committee members that the Working Group will commence working immediately after the ongoing sitting was completed so as to write up a report and submit it to the Committee for consideration at the next sitting.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman MA Dejan Radenkovic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Veroljub Arsic, Zoran Tomic, Zoran Sandic, Dr Zivan Bajic, Milosav Milojevic, Dalibor Jekic, Zivota Starcevic, MA Ninoslav Eric, Snezana Paunovic, Zoran Zecevic and Tijana Davidovac.
