16th Sitting of the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society
At the sitting held on 25 October 2023, the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society considered, in detail, the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Fundamentals of the Education System, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Textbooks, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Secondary Education and Upbringing and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Primary Education and Upbringing.
Of the 50 amendments the MPs had submitted the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Fundamentals of the Education System, the Government and the Committee accepted one, submitted to Article 8 of the Bill.
The Government and the Committee accepted none of the 22 amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Textbooks.
Of the 31 amendments the MPs had submitted the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Secondary Education, the Government and the Committee accepted one, submitted to Article 8 of the Bill.
The Government and the Committee accepted none of the 16 amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Primary Education and Upbringing.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Prof. Dr Marko Atlagic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Dr Zika Bujuklic, Prof. Dr Branimir Jovancicevic, Dr Tatjana Jovanovic, Tatjana Medved, Stojan Radenovic, Natasa Ivanovic, Prof. Dr Mirka Lukic - Sarkanovic, Ana Miljanic and Prof. Dr Jahja Fehratovic.
