15th Sitting of the Committee on the Economy, Regional Development, Trade, Tourism and Energy

At the sitting held on 10 May 2021 outside of the National Assembly seat in Kladovo, the members of the Committee on the Economy, Regional Development, Trade, Tourism and Energy reviewed the Elektroprivreda Srbije PE Business Report for the period 1 January – 31 December 2020, accompanied by an abstract of the Elektroprivreda Srbije PE Three-Year Business Programme for the period 2021-2023, and the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Activity Report for the period 1 October – 31 December 2020.

The President of the Municipality of Kladovo Sasa Nikolic wished them success at today’s sitting, saying
How interesting it is that it is being held in Kladovo which is trying to make tourism the engine of development of small businesses and catering.

Committee Chairman Veroljub Arsic stressed that the sitting is being held in Kladovo as a place with significant tourist potential, as well as an important energy point, with the hope that, given the approaching end of the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic, all tourist destinations in Serbia will be ready for the season. He went on to say that the sitting outside of the National Assembly seat is held with the support of project “Strengthening Parliamentary Democracy and Inclusive Political Dialogue” conducted by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with the support of Switzerland.

The Committee proceeded to consider the Elektroprivreda Srbije PE Business Report for the period 1 January – 31 December 2020, accompanied by an abstract of the Elektroprivreda Srbije PE Three-Year Business Programme for the period 2021-2023, presented on behalf of Elektroprivreda Srbije PE by Savo Bezmarovic and Mladen Serventi.

The Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Activity Report for the period 1 October – 31 December 2020 was presented by the Ministry’s State Secretary Zikica Nestorovic.

The Committee members adopted both the items on the agenda.

After the end of the sitting, the Committee members visited HPP Djerdap and had a meeting with the management.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Veroljub Arsic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Mirela Radenkovic, Jasmina Karanac, Vesna Stambolic, Adrijana Pupovac, Milos Bandjur, Zoran Tomic, Ivana Popovic, Mladen Boskovic, Snezana Paunovic, Ugljesa Markovic and Vojislav Vujic.
